Craig E. Hilborn
is currently the President of Hilborn & Hilborn, P.C. He received
his B.S. from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctor from the
Detroit College of Law in 1989. Since that time he has been involved
in the private practice of law. He began his career representing indigent
defendants in criminal proceedings. In 1993 he and his father, George
A. Hilborn, began Hilborn & Hilborn, P.C. Since that time Hilborn
& Hilborn, P.C. has concentrated on representing persons seriously injured as a result of defective products and
others negligence. Craig is a member of
Michigan Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, The Attorney's Information and Exchange Group and is on the Board of Directors of the Michigan State University College of Law Alumni Association.
In the past three years Craig has settled cases exceeding four million dollars. On August 20, 2004, Craig won an appeal in the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, Nemir v. Mitsubishi case nos. 02-1780; 03-1228. Nemir will have widespread legal ramifications for product liability cases throughout the United States. Craig has recently lectured at the American Bar Association Seminars for Product Liability Issues in the Automotive Industry and at the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association Seminar on Product Liability.
